Covering 18 miles (30 kilometers) on pure electric power, these eco-friendly vessels are powered by cutting-edge 16 MW electric systems and four 11,500 kW battery units that recharge in just 40 minutes at port. Each ferry will transport 804 passengers and 225 cars at speeds of up to 26 knots, offering a sustainable and efficient travel option between continents. Built at the Armon shipyard, the ferries will be ready in two and a half years, supported by advanced charging infrastructure at both ports. With backup diesel generators for emergencies, Baleària is setting a new standard for clean and reliable maritime travel.
